Welcome session for new students at Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering

The Materials Advantage Chapter organized a one-day session for new students joining the Department. The Chairman of the Department, Dr Mohamed Zawawi, spoke to the students regarding the Chapter and its undertakings. He pledged to fully support all activities carried out by the Chapter. The President and Vice Chair of the Chapter gave a short presentation regarding the Chapter’s importance. Students were given full details as to how to apply for membership of the Chapter. The Chapter team chiefly focuses on junior members of the Department who have recently joined. The President and Secretary of the Chapter both gave speeches outlining the advantages of membership, illustrated with stories from their personal experience.
